The Blade Unchained

Three eras. Two souls. One blade.

4th century: The Roman border. Aesarius—a child of the Terving Goths—expects a simple life. He will marry his love, Haeva, and know happiness. Instead, on a terror-filled night on the eve of a festival, he descends into a world of magic, slavery, and treachery. Aesarius holds to one truth; his love, Haeva, is alive. And he will do anything to find her.

19th century: Magic-sundered France. In their hubris, resurrected kings have fractured history. Walled cities cower before monsters prowling the wild. Here, Aesarius calls himself Nathaniel, a warrior whose only guide is a whisper from a thousand years ago; whose memory speaks of a weapon capable of splitting time itself.

Unknown future: The Mountain. A frozen pinnacle of fear and paranoia, where wizards prowl, cities float on magical chains, and battlehawks forge flame from the sun. In the squalor of a cell, captors desperate for the past torment Aesarius. Here, he tells a story to hide a secret that might mean freedom or devastation.
